TPOCC is seeking (3) unpaid interns for Summer & Fall 2013. The interns should be interested in gaining experience in community outreach and strategic planning, as well as LGB(T) based nonprofit management.
The intern should have a keen interest in issues that affect transgender people of color but does NOT have to be a member of the trans* community. Allies are encouraged to apply.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Must be located in the DC/MD/VA area
2) Must be fluent in LGB(T) affairs
3) Must have exceptional organizational skills
4) Must be self-starter & self-teacher. Independent
5) Must be punctual and reliable.
SKILLS: If you’re good with MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, teleconferecing, basic researching and good with networking to, for and within the LGB(T) community, you're already a good fit for the position.

TPOCC is seeking (2) unpaid fellows for Summer & Fall 2013. The fellowship is designed to provide first-hand experience in public policy and strategic planning, as well as LGB(T) based nonprofit management.
All prospective fellows should have a keen interest in issues that affect transgender people of color but do NOT have to be members of the trans* community. Allies are encouraged to apply.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Must be fluent in LGB(T) affairs
3) Must have interest and understanding of public policy,lobbying and strategic planning
4) Must be self-starter & self-teacher. Independent
5) Must have interest in formal writing and public speaking
6) Must be punctual and reliable
Located in the DC/MD/VA area a plus but not required.

2) Must be fluent in LGB(T) affairs
3) Must have interest and understanding of blogs, digital media and social networking.
4) Must be self-starter & self-teacher. Independent
5) Must have Interest in creative and formal writing.
6) Must be punctual and reliable.
SKILLS: If you’re good with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube & Tumblr, and good with networking to, for and within the LGB(T) community, you're already a good fit for the position.
